YOZGAT BOZOK UNIVERSITY GRADUATE EDUCATION-TEACHING AND EXAM REGULATIONS are stated in the THIRD SECTION.
Formal
The thesis-based master's program consists of at least seven courses, a seminar course and a thesis study, with a total of not less than 120 ECTS credits.
Within the master's program, master's degrees with thesis are offered in 5 branches of science: Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry.
1 | Has the knowledge and skills of basic work (analysis and synthesis) in chemistry laboratories, can transfer this knowledge and skills to others, can use analytical devices, is sensitive to people, society and the environment, understands the place of himself and his profession in social development, has gained proficiency and ethical responsibility in his profession, is capable of training and research. To train graduates who can work in the fields needed by institutions and the industry. |
2 | To provide the student with the ability to conduct independent research, to deeply examine and interpret scientific issues related to the field of chemistry education, and to determine methods to obtain new results. |
3 | To provide an environment that will provide students with the skills necessary to make original contributions to developments in chemistry and related disciplines and to become leaders in scientific research. |
4 | To train students who can create, manage and carry out research and technology development projects in different fields of chemistry. |
5 | To contribute to the process of training well-equipped faculty members to work in universities. |
Our graduates who receive a Master's degree in Chemistry are among the most preferred graduates in the industrial production sector. Chemists who research the structures of substances, develop basic human needs and produce new compounds are also producers of materials used in many areas such as food, pharmaceuticals, textiles, cleaning, cosmetics, agricultural agriculture, paint, cement, glass and plastic industries. Chemists can work in research and development, production, technical management, quality control and responsible management units in any of these industrial sectors. Our graduates who receive a Master's degree in Chemistry can find employment opportunities in scientific research centers and hospital laboratories, water and wastewater analysis laboratories and environmental analysis laboratories. Our graduates who receive a Master's degree in Chemistry can work in laboratory chemical and device sales and service companies and consulting firms, as well as becoming Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Specialists. In addition to these; Our graduates who receive a Master's degree in Chemistry can find employment opportunities in government institutions such as TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey), MKE (Mechanical and Chemical Industry), MTA (Mineral Research and Exploration), TSE (Turkish Standards Institute) and many public and sector organizations. Our graduates who receive a Master's degree in Chemistry can work as Chemistry Teachers in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education with the Pedagogical Formation Certificate. Our graduates who receive a Master's degree in Chemistry can continue their postgraduate education and continue their doctoral programs if they are interested.
It is possible to transfer to the Doctorate Program.
Students are subjected to a midterm exam, at least one activity (such as homework, project, oral exam) and a final exam for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam to the success grade is 40%, and the contribution of the final exam is 60%. All exams are evaluated out of 100 points. Students who receive one of the letter grades (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB) and (CC) in a course are considered to have passed that course. Students who are successful in seminars, thesis studies, specialized field courses and other non-credit courses are given a BL (Successful) grade, and students who are unsuccessful are given a BS (Unsuccessful) grade.
